This is a unique space rejuvenated for all its visitors and for the city of Madrid.
New landmark on the map of Madrid
Centro Canalejas Madrid is a new and exclusive leisure and tourism destination in the capital. You can shop for fashion, accessories, and jewellery from the most important brands in the world. You can taste Spanish and international cuisine in Galería Canalejas and its Food Hall. And you can stay in the best hotel in the city: Four Seasons Hotel Madrid (FSHM). This is all in the same building. Centro Canalejas Madrid reflects the high Madrid architecture of the 19th and early 20th century. It represents a turning point in the recognition of Madrid as an international luxury destination.

This is a privileged location in the centre of Madrid. It blends with the essence of the capital. And it is a stone’s throw from the emblematic Puerta del Sol, Madrid de los Austrias, Barrio de las Letras and Jerónimos.

Centro Canalejas Madrid offers both locals and foreign visitors the opportunity to live an experience of excellence.
The captivating «Canalejas effect»
Since the opening of the Four Seasons Hotel Madrid in 2020, several luxury hotels, haute couture brands, jewellers and high-end restaurants have sprung up in the local area. This has led rise to the idea of the «Canalejas effect».
The centre of Madrid has tripled the number of five-star hotels, from four establishments in 2013 to more than twenty by the end of 2023. In the area around Centro Canalejas Madrid alone, in the so-called new Golden Mile, five hotels of this category are operating. This is the largest concentration of such establishments in Spain.

This impact has modernised and revitalised the historic centre of Madrid, transforming the hotel, food and leisure offering. It has created the space for leading national and international brands to operate, both in the Canalejas block and in the surrounding streets. The project has helped to place the capital on the map of international luxury tourism.

At the service of all visitors
Centro Canalejas Madrid represents the rehabilitation and regeneration of an urban space in a very specific environment. It reflects a firm commitment to a business model based on sustainability. Also, the project has the LEED Gold international environmental certification, granted exclusively to high-efficiency sustainable buildings.

In addition, pedestrianisation has contributed to making the entire local area much more attractive and accessible to all passers-by who enjoy the beauty of the architecture. There is the reduction of road traffic, the reorganisation of cycle lanes, the new urban furniture, efficient lighting, new paving and rows of trees. These form a “bubble” of free, pedestrian spaces that head out towards the recently awarded World Heritage Site, the “Pasaje de la Luz”. This promenade of the arts houses Madrid’s most important museums.
